About This Song
About "Bird Gets The Worm" by Charlie Parker
A nimble, winking chase scene: Parker’s alto darts like a bird snatching worms from freshly turned soil. The quartet’s rhythm section tightens the net, but the melody keeps slipping free. There’s joy here, but also a predator’s patience—calm swing masking the sudden, hungry strike of improvisation.
