About This Song
About "Carnaval, Op. 9 : Schumann: Carnaval, Op. 9: II. Pierrot" by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli
Pierrot steps forward in Michelangeli’s hands: a stumbling, wistful figure, half clown, half poet. The melody lurches with a tender awkwardness, its comedy edged with melancholy—a white-faced dreamer caught between the spotlight and the shadows.
