About "Carnaval, Op. 9 : Schumann: Carnaval, Op. 9: XVIII. Promenade" by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli
Michelangeli turns Schumann's promenade into a procession of masked silhouettes, each step a poised hesitation. The piano's clarity cuts through carnival haze, revealing tension between revelry and solitude—a solitary walker amid the crowd, measuring every stride with aristocratic restraint.
