About This Song
About "Préludes / Book 1, L. 117 : Debussy: Préludes / Book 1, L. 117: IX. La sérénade interrompue" by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli
A serenade interrupted by mischief. Michelangeli's touch is playful and precise, the melody a lover's call that keeps getting drowned out by gusts of whimsy. The emotional tug is between earnest romanticism and the irrepressible urge to jest.
