About This Song
About "Préludes, Book 2, CD 131 : Debussy: Préludes, Book 2, CD 131: VI. Général Lavine – eccentric" by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli
A musical portrait of an eccentric acrobat, 'Général Lavine' struts with vaudevillian swagger. Michelangeli captures the clownish bravado and the loneliness beneath—each quirky rhythm a mask. The tension between performance and reality gives the prelude its bittersweet bite.
