About This Song
About "Lieder ohne Worte IV, Op. 53 : Mendelssohn: Lieder ohne Worte IV, Op. 53: VI. Molto allegro vivace, MWV U154 "La fuite"" by Daniel Barenboim
'La fuite'—the flight—is a Molto allegro vivace that races like a startled hare. Barenboim's articulation is razor-sharp, each note a footfall in a chase. The momentum is exhilarating, but there's unease in the haste: what, exactly, is being outrun?
