About This Song
About "6 Kinderstücke Op. 72 : Mendelssohn: 6 Kinderstücke Op. 72: VI. Vivace, MWV U 168" by Daniel Barenboim
Vivace closes the set with a whirlwind of childish energy. Barenboim plays it like a spinning top—bright, dizzying, slightly out of control. The final cadence lands with a thump, leaving behind the echo of a nursery emptied of its children.
