About This Song
About "Ugolini: Motecta et missae: Beata es virgo Maria" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Ugolini's motet glows with Marian devotion, its imitative lines circling like moths around a flame. The choir's lucid texture makes 'Beata es virgo Maria' feel less a proclamation than a whispered secret, intimate and slightly austere, yet warm at the core.
