About "Garrett: Psalm CXXXVII. "By the Waters of Babylon"" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Garrett's setting of Psalm 137 weeps through the choir—'By the Waters of Babylon' is a slow, keening lament. The calm of the flowing river belies the grief of exile, each phrase heavy with the memory of a homeland just out of reach.
