About "Holst, I: That Lord That Lay in Assë Stall" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Holst's motet opens with a hushed, ancient stillness, the choir's voices hovering like candlelight in a stone chapel. Beneath the serene surface, a quiet ache pulses—the mystery of the Incarnation rendered in harmonic shadows, both tender and unsettling.
