About "Scheidt: Cantiones sacrae: No. 12, In dulci jubilo" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Scheidt's In dulci jubilo is a Renaissance dance for the soul, its cantus firmus ringing like a bell through intricate counterpoint. The joy is robust, almost physical—voices tumbling over one another in celebration. Yet beneath the rhythmic buoyancy lies a quiet reverence, the sweet shout of faith held in perfect, teetering balance.
