About "Davies: Psalm CXXI. "I Will Lift up Mine Eyes"" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Davies's setting of Psalm 121 climbs with a quiet, determined hope, its melodic lines rising like hands lifted in prayer. The choral texture is transparent yet grounded, conveying both the vulnerability of looking upward and the steadfastness of a promise—a musical act of trust against the vast unknown.
