About This Song
About "Pärt: 7 Magnificat-Antiphonen: No. 1, O Weisheit" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Pärt's 'O Weisheit' is a minimalist prayer, the King's College choir intoning each syllable like a candle lit in darkness. The antiphon's simplicity belies a deep emotional tension: wisdom's calm surface hiding the abyss of human longing. Ethereal, stark, and profoundly moving.
