About "Brahms: Es ist das Heil uns kommen her, Op. 29 No. 1: Fugue" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
The fugue that follows Brahms's chorale is a different beast—restless, contrapuntal, almost anxious. Voices chase one another through tight corridors of counterpoint, each entrance a new argument. The choir's precision sharpens the tension: order achieved, but only after a struggle.
