About This Song
About "Scarlatti, D: Laetatus sum: II. Propter fratres meos" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Scarlatti's second movement turns the psalm's communal joy inward, the choir's polyphony folding like hands in prayer. Here, 'Propter fratres meos' becomes a quiet, brotherly murmur—the tension between individual breath and collective voice, each line trembling with the effort of staying in perfect, loving sync.
