About "Kocher: As with Gladness Men of Old" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Kocher's hymn marches with the steady gait of pilgrims following a star, each verse a step further from comfort. The harmony is foursquare and confident, yet a wistful edge creeps into the descant—gladness tempered by the long road. Here, epiphany is not a burst of light but a slow, determined arrival.
