About This Song
About "Maw: Swete Jesu" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Maw's 'Swete Jesu' is a slow, aching meditation, its harmonic language hovering between ancient modal purity and modern dissonance. The choir's tone is tender, almost breathless, as if cradling a fragile name. The effect is a quiet, piercing intimacy—devotion stripped of ornament, left bare.
