About "Brahms: Es ist das Heil uns kommen her, Op. 29 No. 1: Chorale" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Brahms opens his motet with a chorale of solemn, processional weight—granite blocks of harmony stacked with Lutheran conviction. The choir's tone is warm but unbending, a congregation marching forward. Beneath the certainty, a faint unease: faith as burden as much as comfort.
