About This Song
About "Britten: A Ceremony of Carols, Op. 28: IV. (a) That Yongë Child" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
The choir's voices dart and weave like children at play, bright and angular. Yet beneath the rhythmic playfulness, a solemnity lingers—the yongë child is both infant and icon, his innocence framed by a harmonic world that feels just slightly off-kilter.
