About "Goss: Psalm XXIII. "The Lord Is My Shepherd"" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Goss sets the Twenty-Third Psalm with the gentleness of a hand on a shoulder, the trebles floating like sheep on a hillside. Yet the organ's pedal notes rumble beneath, a reminder of the valley's shadow. Comfort and unease interlace: the shepherd's rod is also a staff that strikes.
