About This Song
About "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
This familiar carol, rendered by the King's choir, floats above a bed of soft, pastoral stillness. The melody's gentle arc evokes shepherds watching under a vast, indifferent sky, while the harmonies warm the cold air with a quiet, unassuming hope—peace announced, not shouted.
