About "Purcell: Remember Not, Lord, Our Offences, Z. 50" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Purcell's plea for forgiveness opens with a harmonic ache that refuses easy resolution. The choir's supple phrasing bends and sways, half penitence, half defiance. There is drama in every suspension—a Baroque conscience wrestling with itself, the music never quite settling into peace.
