About This Song
About "Janáček: Mass in E-Flat Major: I. Kyrie" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Janáček’s Kyrie opens with stark, questioning chords—a mass that feels carved from raw stone. The choir’s plea rises with urgent, almost folk-like intensity, tension crackling between supplication and defiance. Not serene, but grippingly alive.
