About "Bairstow: Psalm LXVII. "God Be Merciful unto Us, and Bless Us" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Bairstow's setting of Psalm 67 is architecture in sound: arches of counterpoint rising toward a plea for mercy. The choir's tone is polished yet pleading, as if the stone itself were asking for blessing. Tension flickers between Anglican restraint and a raw, ancient hunger for grace to break through.
