About This Song
About "Poulenc: 4 Motets pour le temps de Noël, FP 152: No. 4, Hodie Christus natus est" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Poulenc's Hodie Christus natus est bursts from the speakers like sunlight through a stained-glass window—bright, angular, and a little wild. The choir navigates his jazzy dissonances with glee, turning the nativity into a dance. It's joy with a mischievous grin, the sacred flirting with the modern.
